On Saturday night (8 October 2022) the relics of St Bernadette were welcomed at Our Lady of Lourdes in Hednesford, home of the Diocesan Shrine. Prayers of welcome were followed by veneration until night prayer at midnight.

On Sunday the focus moved to the outside grotto with morning prayer and veneration. In the afternoon there was the opportunity for people to take the Sacrament of Reconciliation and anointing.
Mass at 4pm was celebrated by Bishop Stephen Wright before the relics were waved off to the Immaculate Conception in Bicester.
It is estimated 800 visitors attended whilst the relics were at Hednesford.
